Afenyo-Markin donates laptops to Effutu Divisional Police Headquarters

 

Minority Leader of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has donated laptop computers to the Winneba Divisional Police Headquarters to support the Police Service’s operational efficiency.

The donation forms part of the MP’s ongoing efforts to resource key security and public service institutions within the Effutu constituency. It is intended to provide the Police with a more reliable system for receiving, processing and storing information to enhance crime prevention and law enforcement.

Presenting the laptops to the Divisional Commander, Afenyo-Markin reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening security in the area, pledging to complete ongoing expansion works at the headquarters. He disclosed that the contractor is expected to return to site soon.

He further noted that an accommodation facility being constructed to support police personnel is nearing completion, while works on a new Divisional Police Headquarters at Gyangyanadze are also at an advanced stage.

Afenyo-Markin reiterated his readiness to continue supporting the Police to improve their operational capacity and service delivery.

Receiving the items on behalf of the command, the Divisional Commander, ACP Ibrahim Opoku, expressed appreciation for the Minority Leader’s sustained support and assured that the laptops would be put to effective use.

ACP Opoku also gave assurance of the Police Service’s neutrality and professionalism, adding that the command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents in the Effutu Municipality
