Guest House Operator Allegedly Murders Girlfriend in Fanteakwa South, Goes on the Run

Tragedy has struck the quiet town of Ehiamankyene in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region, where a man known popularly as "James Bond" is on the run after allegedly murdering his girlfriend at his guest house.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, after the deceased visited the suspect at his BJ Tech Guest House and failed to return home. Concerned by her unexplained absence, the young woman's family launched a search.

Their worst fears were confirmed when her younger brother discovered her lifeless body in a pool of blood inside the guest house.

The case has since been reported to the Begoro Police, who have initiated a manhunt for the suspect. Authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

Meanwhile, the victim’s body has been deposited at the Begoro Government Hospital morgue for autopsy and further investigation.

The community has been left in shock, as many call for swift justice in this deeply disturbing incident.

Winneba: Police foil attempted robbery at bank

  The Anti-Armed Robbery Response Unit (AARU) of the  Ghana Police Service  has foiled an attempted robbery at the Microfin Rural Bank in Winneba, Central Region. Police said at about 1am on Friday, August 15, 2025, the bank’s alarm was triggered, drawing the attention of a patrol team on duty. The team, sensing unusual activity, proceeded to the bank to investigate. “On reaching the location, they were met with sporadic gunshots from the robbers. After a brief exchange of fire, the gang bolted, leaving behind one pump-action gun and other implements,” the police stated. The AARU team retrieved the weapon together with an empty cartridge from the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that about five armed men were involved.
