Effutu MP Commissions Ultra-Modern Library and Community Centre in Sankor–Don Bosco

The Member of Parliament for Effutu and Minority Leader, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has commissioned a fully furnished, ultra-modern Library and Community Centre for the people of Sankor–Don Bosco Electoral Area in the Effutu Constituency.

The new facility is expected to serve as a vital hub for learning, community engagement, and youth development. It features a modern library stocked with reading materials, internet access, and dedicated spaces for both children and adults. The community centre portion will host educational programs, training workshops, and serve as a safe gathering space for residents.

In a brief address during the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Afenyo-Markin reiterated his commitment to education and inclusive development. He stated that the project forms part of a broader effort to bridge the gap in access to quality educational resources, especially in underserved communities.

“This is more than just a building. It’s a statement of our collective belief that education and access to knowledge should never be a privilege, but a right for every child and youth in Effutu,” he said.

Residents and local leaders praised the MP for his continued dedication to improving the lives of constituents through impactful projects. The commissioning was attended by community members, traditional leaders, and officials from the Effutu Municipal Assembly.
