Teenager Stabbed to Death by Friend Over Money Dispute
A 17-year-old student of St. Joseph Technical Institute in Kwahu Tafo, Isaac Kwasi Awuah Gorman, has been fatally stabbed by his close friend, Stephen Opuni, popularly known as "Sugar". The incident occurred during an altercation over a money dispute, according to eyewitnesses.
Kwasi was with four friends when the altercation ensued, and in the heat of the moment, Sugar stabbed him in the neck. Kwasi's friends witnessed the incident and heard him screaming that he had been stabbed while holding his neck.
The police in Kwahu Tafo acted swiftly to arrest Sugar, who is currently in custody and assisting with investigations. The body of Kwasi Awuah Gorman has been deposited at the mortuary for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Kwasi's family is demanding swift and fair justice, expressing shock and pain over the sudden and violent turn of events. "My little nieces, who witnessed the incident, narrated the whole matter," said Ebenezer Gorman, Kwasi's brother. The family had been living peacefully with both boys, making the motive behind the fatal confrontation even more perplexing.
The Kwahu Tafo community is in mourning, with many calling for increased counseling and peer intervention strategies in schools to prevent such tragedies.
