Agona Nyakrom Traditional Council Cautions Institutions Against Engaging 'Unrecognized Chief' of Agona Abodom

The Agona Nyakrom Traditional Council has issued a strong warning to all government agencies, private institutions, and individuals not to engage with the individual currently claiming to be the chief of Agona Abodom.

At a press conference held at the Agona Nyakrom Palace, the Council made it clear that no one has been officially enstooled as chief of Agona Abodom and the person parading himself as such is not recognized by the Agonaman Traditional Council.

“We urge all institutions to stay away from this imposter or anyone claiming legitimacy through him. Anyone who engages with him does so at their own peril,” the Council emphasized.

They added that any chief found to be an accomplice in this illegitimate process would be dealt with accordingly. The Council expressed deep concern over the growing disregard for traditional customs and protocols.

They also assured the public that when a legitimate chief is properly enstooled after all judicial matters are resolved, the Council will make an official announcement.

“Until then,” they concluded, “we will not allow anyone to set a dangerous precedent that undermines our culture and the chieftaincy institution.”
