Market Women Who Are Currently Selling At Winneba Junction Will Be First to Occupy Stalls" - Nenyi Ghartey VII

The Effutu Municipal Assembly (EMA) hosted a stakeholder meeting on June 13, 2025, to discuss the construction of a model 24-hour economy market in Winneba. The meeting unanimously agreed that the market would be built at Winneba Junction, a bustling area with existing businesses and market women.

Omanhene Nenyi Ghartey VII, Paramount Chief of the Effutu Traditional Area, expressed gratitude to the government for the project, which aims to create jobs and stimulate economic growth. He also directed the assembly to conduct an enumeration of the existing businesses and market women at the junction.

"I thank the government for this. I will urge the assembly to go and enumerate now, market women who are currently selling  at the location will be the first people to occupy stalls there when we finish this ultra-modern market."

This thoughtful gesture by the chief demonstrates his commitment to protecting and prioritizing the interests of his people. By ensuring that the existing market women and businesses are given priority consideration for stalls in the new market, he is safeguarding their livelihoods and guaranteeing that they will not be left out of the new development.

This shows how much the chief thinks about his people, protects them, and works tirelessly to ensure their well-being. His selfless leadership is truly commendable!
