Effutu Traditional Council Congratulates Rev. Atta Mensah, Pledges Support and Calls for Collaborative Leadership


The Effutu Traditional Council, under the leadership of Omanhene Neenyi Ghartey VII, has extended warm congratulations to Rev. Atta Mensah on his appointment as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Effutu Constituency. In a heartfelt statement, the council expressed joy and happiness in welcoming Rev. Atta Mensah to the esteemed office.

Rev. Atta Mensah's appointment follows his unanimous endorsement by the 26-member Effutu Municipal Assembly on June 5, 2025. The assembly, comprising 18 elected and 8 government appointees, voted in favor of Rev. Atta Mensah's appointment, demonstrating strong confidence in his leadership abilities.

A New Chapter for Effutu

The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Okyere Eduamoah Panyin, swore in Rev. Atta Mensah as the new MCE, urging assembly members to put aside partisan differences and unite in supporting the MCE to address the challenges facing the area. Rev. Atta Mensah expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for the trust placed in him and pledged to execute his mandate according to the rules and regulations governing the office.

  The Agonaman Traditional Council has firmly addressed recent developments in Agona Abodom, declaring that there is currently no officially recognized chief in the town.
