UEW Student Found Deceased in Hostel Room

A disturbing incident has shaken the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) community after a video circulating on social media reportedly revealed the discovery of a male student's lifeless body in his hostel room. According to the report accompanying the video, the student had been locking himself in his room for several days, struggling with a chronic wound that seemed to have taken a toll on his mental and physical well-being.

It's understood from the report that the student's roommate had moved out, reportedly due to the student's ongoing health struggles and increasing isolation. The student often locked himself in his room, raising concerns about his well-being.

The report suggests that the grim discovery was made when a foul odor emanating from the room became unbearable, prompting concerned colleagues to forcibly enter the room to check on him. Unfortunately, it was too late, and the student had passed away.

This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of prioritizing mental health and seeking help when needed. The UEW community is likely to be shaken by this loss, and it's hoped that this incident will spark a renewed focus on student well-being and support services.
