Suzzy Pinamang Regains Sight After Successful Eye Surgery in UK, Thanks to Ibrahim Mahama
In a story of hope, kindness, and triumph, Suzzy Adwoa Pinamang, the Adventist SHS student who was tragically shot in the eye, can now see again following a successful eye surgery in the United Kingdom.
The surgery took place on June 2, 2025, at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. A statement shared with EKAE Media confirmed the great news:
“SUCCESSFUL SURGERY AND STEADY RECOVERY: Suzzy has successfully undergone her scheduled eye surgery and is now on the path to full recovery. She has already begun regaining her independence and is now able to see on her own.”
This life-changing medical intervention was made possible by Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, CEO of Engineers & Planners and Dzata Cement, whose full sponsorship and support covered the entire process—from her journey to the UK to the surgery and recovery.
Special Aide Rafik Mahama extended gratitude on behalf of Mr. Mahama to the medical teams in Ghana and the UK, Moorfields Eye Hospital, the Ghana High Commission in London, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, HE Harriet Thompson, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, and all individuals and organizations who supported Suzzy’s journey.
Thanks also went to Roger Pope Opticians in London, Suzzy’s family, the media, and the general public for their prayers and solidarity.
Suzzy’s story is now one of healing and inspiration. We continue to wish her a smooth and complete recovery in the days ahead.
