Newlywed Couple Loses Life in Gurugu Accident


A heartbreaking incident unfolded on the Gurugu road in Tamale, Ghana, where a newlywed couple's life was cut short in a fatal accident. The couple, who had celebrated their wedding just hours before, met their untimely demise on Sunday night, June 22nd, around 11:00 PM.

According to eyewitnesses, the couple was traveling on a motorcycle to the groom's rented apartment in Gurugu for their honeymoon when their lives were tragically ended. The accident was reportedly caused by an unregistered vehicle driven by a group of Nigerian nationals, who fled the scene immediately after the crash.

The bodies were later deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital's morgue in the early hours of Monday, around 2:50 AM. This devastating incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving friends, family, and loved ones in grief.

  The Agonaman Traditional Council has firmly addressed recent developments in Agona Abodom, declaring that there is currently no officially recognized chief in the town. At a press conference held at the Agona Nyakrom Palace, the Council described the individual currently parading himself as chief of Agona Abodom as an imposter, emphasizing that he has not been accepted or sworn in by the Agona Nyakrom Traditional Council, as custom requires.
