HON ALEXANDER AFENYO MARKIN, MP FOR EFFUTU SAID THIS AT THE WINNEBA YOUTH CHOIR EASTER CONCERT  

Hon. Alexander Afenyo Markin, Member of Parliament for Effutu and Minority Leader, urged everyone to think about Winneba during his address at the Winneba Youth Choir's Easter concert, themed "Inspiration of Hope". The event was organized by Patell Marketing Consult and held at the Assemblies of God Church in Abasraba, Winneba.

Afenyo-Markin expressed his commitment to promoting the Winneba Youth Choir without any political considerations, highlighting the group's remarkable contribution to the cultural identity of Winneba. He commended the choir for elevating the town's image through its performances, both locally and internationally ¹.

The Winneba Youth Choir, founded in 1989, has gained recognition as one of Ghana's most outstanding youth choirs. Under the leadership of Executive Director and Conductor Sir Paa John Yamoah, the choir continues to promote arts and culture, inspiring positivity and hope through music.

During the event, Afenyo-Markin was presented with a citation in recognition of his continuous support for the choir. The choir's administrator, Jeffrey Daniel Amoah, appealed to the MP for additional support, specifically a dedicated scholarship scheme for choir members to pursue further music education and career opportunities.

Agona Nyakrom Traditional Council Issues Strong Warning Over Agona Abodom’s Attempted Breakaway

  The Agonaman Traditional Council has firmly addressed recent developments in Agona Abodom, declaring that there is currently no officially recognized chief in the town. At a press conference held at the Agona Nyakrom Palace, the Council described the individual currently parading himself as chief of Agona Abodom as an imposter, emphasizing that he has not been accepted or sworn in by the Agona Nyakrom Traditional Council, as custom requires. In their address to the media, the Council emphasized that any traditional leader found to be an accomplice to this illegal enstoolment will face the appropriate consequences.
