“Accepting or Giving Money for Votes is Bribery!"
- Mr. Sena Bosson,Effutu NCCE Director Warns
Mr. Sena Bosson, Effutu National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Director, has sounded a strong warning against vote buying, emphasizing its detrimental effects on democracy.
"Accepting or giving money for votes is bribery!" Bosson stressed. "Let's maintain the integrity of our democratic process. Vote-buying undermines the principles of free and fair elections."
Bosson further emphasized that development cannot be expected from someone who has been paid to win an election. "You can't expect one to develop a town when you have given money before you voted," he noted.
Vote buying:
- Undermines democracy
- Corrupts governance
- Disempowers citizens
- Fosters corruption
- Threatens national development
By rejecting vote buying and promoting fair elections, communities can ensure that their leaders prioritize their needs and work towards genuine development.
Together, we can ensure that our elections reflect the true will of the people. Let's condemn vote buying and promote transparent, accountable governance.
