James Kofi Annan, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Effutu Constituency, is outraged after uncovering a suspicious transfer of 3009 voters to the constituency by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.James Kofi Annan is demanding an immediate explanation from the EC for this unprecedented move, which he believes is a clear attempt to rig the upcoming elections.
"This is a blatant attempt to manipulate the electoral process and undermine the democratic rights of the people of Effutu," Annan stated. "We will not stand idly by while the EC secretly transfers voters to influence the outcome of the elections. The people of Effutu deserve transparency and fairness, and we demand answers!"
Annan is calling on the EC to provide a detailed explanation for the transfer, including the identities of the transferred voters and the reasons behind the move.
This development has raised eyebrows and sparked outrage among opposition supporters, who see it as a desperate attempt by the ruling party to cling to power. The incident has also renewed calls for electoral reforms and greater transparency in Ghana's electoral process.
