UEW MUST ESTABLISH A FACULTY DEDICATED TO TEACHING AND PROMOTING THE IDEOLOGIES OF DR KWAME NKRUMAH

  At the 2026 Independence Day celebration in Winneba, which marked Ghana’s 69th independence anniversary, Nathaniel Papa Acheampong, the Effutu Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress and a government appointee, called on the University of Education, Winneba to establish a dedicated center or faculty to promote and teach the principles, values, and ideologies of Kwame Nkrumah to both current and future generations. According to him, the vision, leadership philosophy, and Pan-African ideals of Ghana’s first President remain crucial to the country’s development and must be intentionally preserved through academic study and national discourse. He emphasized that young people must be given the opportunity to learn about Nkrumah’s philosophy of self-reliance, African unity, and national development through structured academic programs.
